What happens during the procedure?
There are two methods of lip augmentation:
- Hyaluronic acid filler injection– this is a temporary measure that may need to be repeated after 6-12 months.
- Fat transfer – fat from another part of your body is taken and injected into the lip. This is potentially more permanent.
What are the risks?
- Infection
- Bleeding
- excessive scarring.
How will be the recovery after procedure?
This is a day care procedure performed under local anesthesia. Recovery is usually faster and any bruising or swelling will reduce in a weeks’ time. There could be tightness, numbness of lips for few days which subsides gradually.
Are the results permanent?

You are an ideal candidate, if you have:
- Large lips.
- Disproportionate lips.
What happens during the procedure?
Lip reduction is surgery corrects the ratio by removing the additional pink portion tissue which is visible in large lips. The stitches are placed during a way that incision isn’t visible, because it is on inner side of mouth and these are dissolvable.
What are the risks?
Generally, this is a safe procedure. However, problems may occur, including:
- Infection
- Bleeding
- Excessive scarring.
